Happy Cinco de Mayo Family de Rosa! Most equate Cinco de Mayo to the US 4th of July and Mexican Independence. However, Mexican independence is celebrated Sept.16. Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over the French forces of Napoleon III on May 5, 1862, at the Battle of Puebla.
We like to think of the holiday as a moment history as a David vs. Goliath, that can be equivalent to much of us now. As we all endure this time of uncertainty and are facing our own individual Goliath’s, having faith that we can come together stronger than ever on the other side! We hope you can find your togetherness and even for a little while, have those previous calm moments before this storm.
As always thank you for being a member of Family de Rosa!
