Salsa de Rosa Taquito's

Not for the faint of heart. This recipe is challenging. If you don't have a spine, turn away now.

However, if you want to Make Dinner Great Again, then by all means, step up and make taquito's!!

Taquito's are a crispy delight so flavorful you won't stop talking about them.

Best served with sides of guacamole, sour cream, and of course, Salsa de Rosa!



2 chicken breasts or 4 pork loins

1 12oz can chicken broth

1 medium yellow onion, 1/2" dice

6" corn tortilla's (24-36)

16oz Salsa de Rosa

1-2  cups cooking oil


In a 3qt pan on med/low heat, cook chicken (or pork) in chicken broth and onion until done, maybe 40 minuites.

Shred meat. Add back to mixture. 

Add Salsa de Rosa mix well, simmer over low heat.

In a separate skillet, heat oil (about 1/2" deep) on med/high heat

Soften tortilla's (hint: cover stack of 15 tortilla's with damp paper towel and microwave for 1 minute)

To a tortilla, add meat mixture (about 2 TBL each) along centerline. Roll tortilla into tube.

Place each roll into hot oil. Roll each to cook and brown all sides.

You may consolidate cooked taquito's in an oven safe pan. Cover, keep warm in oven.
