Salsa de Rosa Fresh Salsa Recipes!

Calzone with Salsa de Rosa Salsa

OMG - Calzone


Benny’s doughball.
¼ cup diced onion.
1 Jalapeño
16 ounces Salsa de Rosa
Small can of tomato paste
Pepperoni, Sausage or like meat.
Mushroom, peppers or spinach.
4 cup Mozzarella cheese.




Simmer onion, jalepeno and 8oz of Salsa de Rosa on very low heat. 20 min
Mix in the tomato paste and the other peppers and meat. Simmer med heat till most liquid is gone.
Remove from heat and mix in the mushroom and the rest of the Salsa de Rosa.

Spread the Benny’s doughball into 2 even ovals. Spread cheese on one side of the oval.
After sauce has set up, pour it over the cheese on one side of each dough ovals.
Spread more cheese and any toppings on the sauce.
Fold the bare side over the side with the filling.
Cut small holes in the top of the each calzone for ventilation and leaking.

Bake on 425 for 20 minutes or until the top is turning dark brown.
Let cool at least 15 minutes.
You can serve topped in cheese, sauce or garnish.
