Jen and Glenn’s Chili

Jen and Glenn are a couple that we met at a Wednesday Market in Kirkland, WA. Here’s their chili recipe:
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 lb lean beef cut for stew
- 2 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 16 oz Salsa de Rosa (chunkier the better)
- Chili powder, cumin, and/or your favorite hot sauce(s) to taste
- Optional: cilantro, cheese, sour cream
Instructions
Brown ground beef. Drain and place in pot.
Brown beef cubes (toss with flour first if you like), then place in pot.
Combine all other ingredients and simmer for an hour.
(While that’s cooking, bake some cornbread! Jen and Glenn like Jiffy.)
Serve chili in large bowls with cornbread and your favorite fixings.
